One footed pidgin’

Every time she pecks a crumb

She has to hop a little bit

Tuck in her cat-shredded stump

And slowly bend from the middle

To nab it

Each cruel morsel demands a humiliating retrieval

But, you know what?

That pidgin’ can fly

God dammit she can FLY!

And skid

Did I mention she skids really well?
